The Aquarium de Biarritz, historically known as the Musée de la Mer, is a large aquarium located opposite the Rocher de la Vierge in downtown Biarritz. It features over fifty tanks with a wide variety of marine species (sharks, turtles, seals, jellyfish, tropical fish), as well as educational areas dedicated to ocean life and marine biodiversity. The visit combines scientific discovery, marine environmental awareness and animal observation, all in an Art Deco building emblematic of the city.
